Job Title: Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
• Provide financial insights and support to management to inform business decisions
• Develop and implement financial models and tools to improve financial planning and analysis
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including management, to identify and mitigate financial risks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and accounting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
