Job Title: Accounts Head

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Head to lead our accounting team and oversee all aspects of financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Manage the company’s cash flow and ensure adequate funding for business operations
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and implement audit recommendations
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments to inform business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of managing accounting teams and overseeing financial operations
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, as well as international financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle, and Microsoft Office applications
