Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver – Egg Transport is responsible for the safe, timely, and quality-controlled transportation of hatching eggs from breeder farms to hatcheries. The role requires strict adherence to biosecurity standards and continuous monitoring of vehicle environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) to ensure optimal egg viability.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery
Safely transport hatching eggs from breeder farms to designated hatcheries.
Ensure timely delivery according to assigned routes and schedules.
Handle eggs with extreme care to prevent damage or contamination.
Environmental Control Monitoring
Monitor and maintain appropriate temperature and humidity levels inside the vehicle throughout the journey.
Operate and adjust climate control systems as required.
Record environmental conditions at specified intervals and report any deviations immediately.
Loading & Unloading
Supervise proper loading and unloading of egg trays to avoid breakage.
Ensure correct stacking, ventilation, and secure placement of egg trays.
Verify quantities against dispatch documents.
Biosecurity Compliance
Follow strict biosecurity protocols at farms and hatcheries.
Ensure vehicle cleanliness and disinfection before and after each trip.
Use protective clothing and adhere to hygiene standards to prevent disease transmission.
Vehicle Management
Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, tires, brakes, cooling systems, etc.).
Ensure the vehicle is clean, sanitized, and in good working condition.
Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate maintenance when needed.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and checklists.
Obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
Report delays, damages, or environmental control issues to the supervisor.
Communication
Maintain regular communication with Hatchery and Logistics team.
Report road conditions, delays, or incidents in real time.
