Vetrnary Drug Technical Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Veterinary Drug Technical Manager to oversee the technical aspects of veterinary drug development, registration, and production. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing technical projects, and providing expert advice on veterinary drug development and registration. This is a key role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical strategies for veterinary drug development, registration, and production
• Manage technical projects, including project planning, execution, and monitoring
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to veterinary drug development, registration, and production
• Provide expert advice on veterinary drug development and registration, including formulation, manufacturing, and quality control
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, including the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies related to veterinary drug development and registration

Requirements

• DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from a recognized Ethiopian university or a foreign university recognized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or veterinary industry, with a focus on veterinary drug development, registration, and production
• Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, toxicology, and regulatory affairs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Fluency in English, with Amharic language skills an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Membership in a professional organization, such as the Ethiopian Veterinary Association, is an added advantage
