Social Enterprise Strategy Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses of social enterprises, including their mission, vision, and objectives, to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth
• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans, including business models, marketing strategies, and operational plans, to help social enterprises achieve their goals
• Provide expert advice and guidance to social enterprise leaders and teams, helping them to build their capacity and develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and partnership development, helping social enterprises to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and partners
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic plans, making recommendations for adjustments and improvements as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social entrepreneurship, applying this knowledge to develop innovative and effective strategies for social enterprises

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, International Development, or Social Entrepreneurship, from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• At least 5 years of experience in social entrepreneurship, strategy development, or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective strategies for social enterprises
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including social enterprise leaders, teams, and stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of the social entrepreneurship landscape in Ethiopia, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities
• Experience with business modeling, market analysis, and strategic planning, with the ability to apply these skills in a social entrepreneurship context
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas and strategies in a clear and concise manner
