Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of structural systems for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of structural systems, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective project delivery
• Perform structural analysis and simulations to optimize design and ensure safety and efficiency
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of design and construction
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on design and development of structural systems
• Professional registration with the Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers or a similar professional body
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian building codes and regulations, including the Ethiopian Building Code and the Ethiopian Standard for Structural Design
• Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
