Senior Planning & Performance Management Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Planning & Performance Management Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the organization’s strategic plans, as well as managing performance and ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals and objectives. This is a key role that will contribute to the achievement of our organization’s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals and objectives
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for strategic planning and performance management
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational performance and progress towards strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with department heads and teams to develop and implement departmental plans and performance management systems
  • Provide training and support to staff on performance management and planning, to ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in achieving the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track and analyze organizational performance, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management

Requirements

  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Strategic Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, performance management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior role
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing performance, and analyzing data to inform decision-making
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning, performance management, and monitoring and evaluation principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with data analysis and reporting tools
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and build strong relationships with stakeholders
