Credit Controller

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling credit operations, ensuring that all credit transactions are accurately processed and that credit risks are minimized. The Credit Controller will play a key role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organization, and will work closely with other departments to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor credit accounts to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt
• Analyze credit data and reports to identify trends and potential risks
• Develop and implement effective credit control strategies to reduce credit risk
• Communicate with customers to resolve credit issues and negotiate payment terms
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure that credit policies are aligned with business objectives
• Prepare and present credit reports to management and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit control or a related field, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA or CPA, is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret financial data and reports
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
