Senior Officer, Training and Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer, Training and Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees, driving business growth and excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
• Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and prioritize training initiatives
• Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs, workshops, and coaching sessions for employees at all levels
• Collaborate with department heads to develop customized training solutions that meet specific business needs
• Manage and maintain accurate records of employee training participation and progress
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve training programs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs that drive business results
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and develop targeted solutions
• Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design models, and training evaluation methods
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with learning management systems (LMS)
• Membership in a professional association, such as the Ethiopian Human Resource Management Association (EHRMA), is an added advantage
