Senior Network Administrator

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our computer networks, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and meet the organization’s needs. This is a senior role that requires strong technical skills, leadership, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet
• Ensure network security, integrity, and availability by implementing and maintaining security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
• Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Troubleshoot network problems and perform network performance optimization
• Develop and implement network backup and disaster recovery plans
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure network infrastructure supports business objectives
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network administrators and other staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on LAN/WAN design, implementation, and management
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are an advantage
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP
• Experience with network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network problems and develop effective solutions
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on customer service and support
