Job Description

Job Title: Senior ICT Expert / Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior ICT Expert / Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s ICT infrastructure and systems. This is a senior-level position that requires strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive ICT strategy and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ICT strategies and plans to support the organization’s overall mission and objectives
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of ICT infrastructure and systems, including hardware, software, and network components
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of ICT systems and data, and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to ICT staff, and mentor junior staff to develop their skills and expertise
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize ICT needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Manage ICT budgets and resources, and ensure that ICT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in ICT, and make recommendations for their adoption and implementation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 8 years of experience in ICT, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of success in leading ICT projects and teams, and developing and implementing ICT strategies and plans
  • Strong technical expertise in ICT, including proficiency in a range of programming languages, operating systems, and software applications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Professional certifications in ICT, such as CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL, are an added advantage
  • Experience working with Ethiopian government agencies or international organizations is desirable
  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an added advantage
