Senior Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Senior Finance Officer will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization, and will work closely with the management team to make informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, and ensure that they are aligned with organizational objectives
• Manage and oversee the financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements
• Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to the management team to inform business decisions
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making
• Manage and oversee the financial reporting process, including the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a similar industry or organization
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA, is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights and recommendations
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of finance professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including Excel, and experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required, and knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
