Job Title: Senior Electrical Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Specialist to join our team in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems, including power distribution, control, and instrumentation
• Conduct site visits to inspect electrical installations, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and engineering disciplines, to ensure integrated solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documents, including electrical drawings, schematics, and technical reports
• Provide technical training and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve our electrical engineering practices

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role
• Professional certification, such as PE (Professional Engineer) or CEng (Chartered Engineer), is an advantage
• Proven track record of delivering complex electrical engineering projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ETAP
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with Ethiopian and international electrical standards, including Ethiopian Standards (ES) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards
• Fluency in English, with Amharic language skills being an advantage
