Senior Accountant

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulations.
Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain optimal cash flow.
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in Quickbooks and other accounting systems.
Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and implement recommendations.
Develop and maintain financial reporting templates and dashboards for management review.
Coordinate with other departments to support business operations and financial planning.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team capabilities.
Monitor compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation.

Required Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Experience in risk management to identify and address potential financial issues.
Proficiency in Quickbooks for managing accounting processes.
Demonstrated experience in working with import and export companies.
Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
Capability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing financial discrepancies.
Ability to adapt to evolving financial regulations and practices.
