Job Description

Key Role & Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles.
Review and post journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments.
Monitor cost allocations, inventory accounting, and product costing in coordination with supply chain and production teams.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws (VAT, WHT, Payroll Tax, Corporate Income Tax).
Support external audits and coordinate with auditors.
Assist in budget preparation, expense monitoring, and variance analysis.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.
Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.
About You
Qualifications & Requirements:

BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or ACCA certification is an added advantage).
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or agro-processing.
Strong understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
Proven experience in inventory accounting, cost control, and production-related financial processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, ERP systems) and MS Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
