Job Title: Security Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of our organization. You will play a critical role in protecting our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure network architectures and systems
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks
• Implement and manage security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
• Monitor and analyze security logs to detect and respond to security incidents
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and secure software development lifecycle
• Provide security training and awareness to employees and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and recommend security improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security engineering
• Professional certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH, are highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT
• Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
