Job Title: Project Cashier (Gacho Baba)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Cashier to join our team in Gacho Baba. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Project Cashier will play a key role in supporting the financial management of our projects, providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets
• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
• Provide financial support to project teams, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a project-based environment
• Proven knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and procedures
• Excellent accounting and bookkeeping skills, with experience in using financial software and systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and communities
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of local languages an advantage
• Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability
