Project Accountant (Geze Gofa)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Accountant to join our team in Geze Gofa. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and providing financial support to the project team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure financial compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement financial management plans, policies, and procedures for projects.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and auditing standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and resolve any audit findings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
• Provide training and support to project staff on financial management and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project accounting, financial management, or a related field.
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience with project management software and financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in Geze Gofa and travel to other project sites as required.
