Job Title: Program Director

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Program Director to lead our organization’s programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that align with our organization’s strategic goals and objectives. The Program Director will provide overall leadership and direction to program staff, ensuring that programs are delivered efficiently and effectively, and that they meet the needs of our target communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement program strategies and plans that align with the organization’s overall mission and vision
• Provide leadership and supervision to program staff, including setting goals, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and development opportunities
• Oversee program budgeting and financial management, including developing and managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and other organizations
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, including developing and implementing evaluation plans, collecting and analyzing data, and making recommendations for program improvement
• Represent the organization in public forums, including speaking at events, attending conferences, and meeting with stakeholders

Requirements

• Masters’ degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Public Administration, or Social Sciences, from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful programs, with a focus on community development and social impact
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in program evaluation and data analysis
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
• Experience working with Ethiopian government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders
• Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, with experience in managing program budgets and finances
