Job Title: Principal Trade Service Officer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Trade Service Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating trade-related activities, providing expert advice and guidance on trade policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement trade-related strategies and policies to promote economic growth and development
• Provide technical assistance and support to stakeholders on trade-related matters, including trade policies, procedures, and regulations
• Conduct research and analysis on trade trends, policies, and regulations to inform decision-making and policy development
• Collaborate with government agencies, private sector organizations, and other stakeholders to promote trade facilitation and cooperation
• Represent the organization in national and international trade-related forums and meetings
• Supervise and coordinate the work of junior staff members to ensure effective and efficient delivery of trade-related services

Requirements

• Masters degree in Economics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience in trade-related activities, including experience in trade policy development, trade facilitation, and trade promotion
• Proven knowledge and understanding of Ethiopian trade laws, regulations, and policies, as well as international trade agreements and conventions
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to supervise and coordinate the work of junior staff members
• Proficiency in Amharic and English languages, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages
