Job Title: Midwives Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Midwives Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Midwives Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care to mothers and their newborns. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods
- Conduct routine check-ups, health screenings, and risk assessments for mothers and newborns
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Assist with births, including normal and complicated deliveries, and provide emergency care when needed
- Educate patients and their families on healthy habits, nutrition, and self-care practices
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, and report any concerns or issues to senior staff
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and referrals
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in midwifery
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery from a recognized Ethiopian university or college
- Registration with the Ethiopian Midwives Association and a valid practicing license
- At least 2 years of experience in midwifery, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of midwifery principles, practices, and protocols
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient-centered care
- Fluency in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry developments
