Job Title: Manager, Credit Service & Portfolio Division (Re-Advert)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Manager, Credit Service & Portfolio Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the credit service and portfolio division, ensuring effective management of credit facilities, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Manage and supervise a team of credit officers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective credit delivery
  • Analyze credit data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks, and make informed decisions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and other business partners
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies
  • Monitor and control credit risk, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in a credit-related role
  • Professional certification in credit management, such as CFA or CFP, is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian banking regulations, laws, and industry standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
