Job Title: Machine Operator

Brief Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical principles, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machines
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and personal protective equipment is worn at all times
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and meet deadlines
• Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant technical field (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance) from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• At least 2 years of experience in a machine operating role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, machine tools, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends
