Laboratory Technologist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and experiments, analyzing results, and providing technical support to the laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory science and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and experiments using various techniques and equipment
• Analyze and interpret test results, identifying trends and anomalies
• Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols
• Provide technical support and training to laboratory staff and students
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities and results
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality control procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or research institution
• Registration with the Ethiopian Medical Laboratory Technologists Association (EMLTA) or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control procedures
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software applications
