Junior Mechanic Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and repair
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Assist senior mechanics with complex repairs and maintenance tasks
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and objectives
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• 1-2 years of experience in a mechanical or maintenance role, preferably in a similar industry
• Basic knowledge of mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
• Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment, such as drill presses, lathes, and grinders
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and tools, with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Completion of a vocational training program in mechanics or a related field, with a focus on practical skills and hands-on experience
