Junior IT Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals
• Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems, including data backup and recovery
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new technologies and solutions
• Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization techniques
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and guides

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• 0-2 years of experience in an IT role, or a strong foundation in IT principles and practices
• Proficiency in operating systems, including Windows and Linux
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
