Junior Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior architects in the design and development of projects, including conceptualization, schematics, and construction documentation
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and information for project development
• Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and other documents to clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and project management
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies
• Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, models, and other visual aids using CAD software and other design tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized Ethiopian university, such as Addis Ababa University or Bahir Dar University
• 0-2 years of experience in an architectural firm or related field, with a strong portfolio of design work
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD, and other design tools, including SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and zoning regulations in Ethiopia
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Membership in the Ethiopian Association of Architects (EAA) or other relevant professional organizations is an asset
