Job Title: Group Finance Director

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Group Finance Director to lead our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, driving business growth, and ensuring the company’s financial stability and sustainability. The Group Finance Director will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the executive management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business objectives and drive growth
• Provide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the company’s financial stability and sustainability
• Lead and manage the financial team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax laws and accounting standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and investors
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to the executive management team and the board of directors
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial security and sustainability

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from a reputable university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• At least 8 years of experience in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role
• Proven track record of financial leadership and management experience in a large and complex organization
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations
• Excellent financial analysis, planning, and budgeting skills
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
