Job Title: General Foreman

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Foreman to oversee and coordinate our construction projects in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential problems, and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure that projects are completed to the required standards
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel
• Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and other relevant data

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry in Ethiopia
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant Ethiopian building codes and regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of site personnel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with good written and verbal communication skills
