Job Title: General Foreman

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Foreman to oversee and coordinate the activities of workers and contractors on construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers and contractors on construction sites
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
• Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure that projects are properly planned and executed
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and ensure that all workers and contractors are aware of and follow safety procedures
• Manage and resolve conflicts and issues that may arise on site
• Prepare and submit reports on site activities, progress, and issues to management

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing and completing construction projects
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Ethiopian construction regulations and standards
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to construction sites
