Job Title: Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing financial guidance and support to management. The Finance Officer will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and oversee the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements
• Provide financial guidance and support to management, including financial analysis and recommendations
• Manage and oversee the organization’s cash flow, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management
• Coordinate audits and ensure that financial records are accurate and up-to-date

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
• Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with management and other stakeholders
• Proficiency in financial management software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages
