Job Title: Finance and Administrative Officer
Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Finance and Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative functions of our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing support to the management team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Coordinate and manage the preparation of annual budgets and financial reports
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, benefits, and other expenses
- Manage and maintain financial records and accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Provide administrative support to the management team, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Supervise and manage administrative staff, including training and performance evaluation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in a similar organization
- Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA, CMA, or CPA, is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and administrative procedures
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial management software and systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
