Job Title: Finance & Admin Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance & Admin Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative functions of our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing support to the management team. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and other events as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure that all financial transactions are properly authorized and recorded.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services firm or a non-governmental organization.
  • Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an added advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations, including Ethiopian tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with financial management software.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
