Digital Economy and ICT Advisor

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Digital Economy and ICT Advisor to provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to our organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing our digital economy and ICT strategy, working closely with stakeholders to drive growth, innovation, and competitiveness in the digital economy. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive digital economy and ICT strategies that align with national development goals and priorities
• Provide technical expertise and advice on digital economy and ICT policy, regulation, and standards
• Collaborate with government agencies, private sector companies, and international organizations to promote the development of the digital economy
• Conduct research and analysis on digital economy trends, opportunities, and challenges, and provide recommendations for policy and program interventions
• Design and deliver capacity-building programs for stakeholders, including government officials, private sector companies, and civil society organizations
• Foster partnerships and collaborations with international organizations, development partners, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise
• Develop and manage projects and programs aimed at promoting the digital economy, including digital infrastructure development, e-government, and digital entrepreneurship

Requirements

• Masters degree in a relevant field, such as ICT, Economics, Business Administration, or Public Policy, from a recognized university
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a related field, with a focus on digital economy and ICT policy, strategy, and implementation
• Proven track record of achievement in promoting the digital economy, including experience in policy development, program design, and project management
• Strong understanding of the Ethiopian digital economy and ICT sector, including trends, opportunities, and challenges
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with proficiency in other local languages an advantage
• Experience working with government agencies, private sector companies, and international organizations, with a strong network of contacts in the digital economy and ICT sector
