Deputy Finance Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in managing the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures
• Manage and supervise a team of finance staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Develop and implement financial models and tools to improve financial planning and analysis
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurately reflected in management reports
• Identify areas for cost savings and implement initiatives to improve financial efficiency
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACCA or CPA, is an advantage
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in financial management software, such as SAP or Oracle, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
