Crusher and Asphalt Plant Manager
Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Crusher and Asphalt Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our crushing and asphalt plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality aggregates and asphalt products, while also managing plant maintenance, quality control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the crushing and asphalt plants, including production, maintenance, and quality control
- Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery of products
- Conduct regular plant inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage and supervise plant personnel, including training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired, and that downtime is minimized
- Monitor and control plant costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure that operations are within budget
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a management role in a crushing and asphalt plant, or a related industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control
- Strong knowledge of crushing and asphalt plant operations, including equipment, processes, and safety protocols
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise plant personnel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve plant operational issues
- Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications, including plant management and control systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Certificate of competence in a relevant field, such as a diploma in occupational health and safety, or a certificate in environmental management, is an advantage
