Consortium Lead

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consortium Lead to oversee the implementation of our multi-stakeholder projects in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing partnerships, and ensuring the effective delivery of project objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact in the development sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement consortium strategies and work plans to achieve project goals and objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consortium members, stakeholders, and partners
• Provide technical guidance and support to consortium members to ensure effective project implementation
• Facilitate communication and coordination among consortium members, ensuring alignment and collaboration
• Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure project success
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure achievement of objectives
• Represent the consortium in external meetings and events, and promote the project’s vision and goals

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Business Administration, International Relations) from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• At least 8 years of experience in a senior management position, preferably in a development organization or consortium setting
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and partnerships
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think strategically
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
• Experience working with Ethiopian government institutions, international organizations, and local NGOs is an advantage
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
