Job Title: Banking Business Officer I

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their banking needs and provide tailored solutions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients on banking products and services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless banking services to clients
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor activity to ensure the bank’s competitiveness
• Prepare and submit reports on business performance, market trends, and client feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in business development and client relationship management
• Professional certification in banking, such as the Certified Banking Professional (CBP) or the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian banking regulations, laws, and industry standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with banking software and systems
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
