Job Title: Accountant

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
• Develop and implement financial models and tools to improve financial planning and analysis
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies and plans
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry or sector
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and accounting standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Peachtree or QuickBooks
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
