Job Title: Accounting Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and manage tax planning and filing
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and other financial stakeholders
• Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, as well as international financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages
