Job Title: Accounting Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and providing financial guidance to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and manage a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management
• Manage the budgeting process, including preparing and reviewing budget reports
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and manage tax planning and reporting
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle, and Microsoft Office applications
