Job Description

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager, Financial Reporting & Budget Control to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial reporting and budget control functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial reporting and budget control policies, procedures, and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement
  • Develop and manage the organization’s budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
  • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team’s success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, budget control, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Professional certification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA, is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including Excel, ERP, and financial reporting tools
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
