Inventory Controller

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling the movement of goods, supplies, and materials within our organization. This includes monitoring inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and ensuring that all inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reported. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control inventory levels, including tracking stock movements and reconciling inventory discrepancies
• Develop and implement effective inventory management systems and processes to minimize stockouts and overstocking
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for inventory optimization
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure effective inventory management and minimize stockouts
• Prepare and submit inventory reports to management, including reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and inventory valuation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration, from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field, preferably in a similar industry
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems, such as ERP or warehouse management systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Certification in inventory management or a related field, such as CIPs or CPIM, is an added advantage
