Job Title: Finance Director

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Finance Director will play a key role in driving business growth, improving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business objectives
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions
• Manage and mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit risks
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies
• Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACCA, CMA, or CPA
• At least 8 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a similar industry
• Proven track record of financial leadership and management experience
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, regulatory requirements, and financial standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
