Senior Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our organization, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. This is a senior role that requires strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills to ensure the efficient and effective management of our financial resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve the organization’s objectives
• Prepare and manage the organization’s budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements
• Lead and manage a team of finance staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
• Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and financial institutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a similar industry or sector
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as CPA or ACCA, is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards
• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills
• Proficient in financial management software and systems, including Excel, accounting packages, and other financial tools
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
