Job Title: Administration and Finance Officer
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administration and Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and financial tasks of the organization, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing support to the management team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the administrative functions of the office, including maintenance of records and files, provision of supplies, and coordination of travel and accommodation arrangements
- Oversee the financial functions of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and management of cash flow
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Provide administrative support to the management team, including preparation of correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, suppliers, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration and finance, preferably in a similar organization
- Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA, is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in financial management software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
