Job Title: Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Finance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and sustainability of our organization, and will work closely with the management team to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the organization’s budget, including forecasting and financial planning
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and oversee the organization’s accounting and financial systems, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to the management team to inform business decisions
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and manage the organization’s tax obligations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a similar industry or organization
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, as well as financial regulations and standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights and recommendations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including Excel, and experience with accounting and financial systems
