Neck Ring Repairer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Neck Ring Repairer to join our team. As a Neck Ring Repairer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining neck rings, which are an essential part of traditional Ethiopian jewelry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of jewelry repair techniques and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess damaged neck rings to determine the best course of repair
• Use specialized tools and equipment to repair and restore neck rings to their original condition
• Replace broken or damaged components, such as clasps, hinges, and gemstones
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and polishing, to prevent damage and extend the lifespan of the neck rings
• Collaborate with other craftsmen and designers to create new and innovative neck ring designs
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all repairs are completed to a high standard and on time

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Jewelry Repair, Metalwork, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian institution, such as the Ethiopian Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program
• At least 2 years of experience in jewelry repair, with a focus on traditional Ethiopian neck rings
• Strong understanding of jewelry repair techniques, including soldering, welding, and metalworking
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
