Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Senior Finance Officer will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization, and will work closely with the management team to make strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
• Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reports
• Oversee and manage financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements
• Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions
• Manage and oversee financial audits and ensure that financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a similar industry or organization
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards
• Excellent financial management and planning skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and other stakeholders
• Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including Excel, and other accounting and financial management tools
