Job Title: Grant Finance Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Grant Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of grants and ensuring compliance with donor regulations. The Grant Finance Manager will work closely with the program team to ensure effective and efficient use of grant funds, as well as provide financial guidance and support to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage grant budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure compliance with donor requirements
• Oversee the financial management of grants, including procurement, contracts, and sub-awards
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, Ethiopian laws, and organizational policies and procedures
• Provide financial guidance and support to program staff, including training and capacity building
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on grant-related financial matters
• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, auditors, and other stakeholders
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to donors and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA
• At least 5 years of experience in grant financial management, preferably in an international NGO or similar organization
• Strong knowledge of donor regulations, including USAID, EU, and UN agencies
• Experience with financial management software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to work accurately and efficiently
